13/16" Axle Nut Retainer for D-Style Spindle with Cotter Pin Hole
Load Rite OEM part#1170.02 Cookie cutter style axle spindle nut retainer. Use this retainer when your D-Shaped axle spindle has a cotter pin hole. Saddles over 13/16" standard spindle nut.
Locks spindle nut in place after final adjustments are made. Prevents spindle nut movement from the hubs rotation. Common on Load Rite, Ez-Loader, 5 Starr and many other Boat Trailers.

Installing Spindle Nuts: While rotating the hub tighten the spindle nut to 18-22 inch pounds, which is slightly more than “finger tight”. Don’t overtighten. When the nut is positioned properly the wheel should turn easily and there should be no end play (Back and Forth Lateral Movement) of the hub with respect to the spindle.
