The OIL FILTER's (CHROME) (118-7824C-2) job is to filter out contaminants like carbon residue and metal particles from engine oil. The engine oil will get more vicious, and the filter will become clogged if you use an oil filter after the recommended replacement interval. The component only allows new oil to circulate while keeping dirt out of the engine. As a result, the oil filter must be replaced very far away. Before entering the engine, oil filters collect dirt particles and combustion byproducts such as dust, metal debris, and oil carbons. Because clean oil ensures engine performance, the oil filter cleans the motor oil. Many thinning holes in oil filters prevent heavy oil from entering the engine via the pump.
